FAQ

  • The Birthright Project is a nonprofit building platforms that advance economic dignity in under-resourced communities. We focus on scalable, tech-powered ventures and ecosystem partnerships that unlock opportunity, ownership, and wellbeing.

  • To us, economic dignity means everyone has the right to build a life of meaning, safety, and self-direction — not just survive. That includes access to care, education, income growth, ownership, and trustworthy infrastructure.

    • We work through two main platforms:
      - Labs – where we design and test pilot initiatives
      - Foundation – where we build partnerships, raise support, and grow the ecosystem around our work

  • Our first five pilot initiatives span green maker spaces, micro-capital experiments, design & storytelling platforms, social fellowships, and digital tools for community-led growth. Each pilot explores what’s possible — and scalable — in real-world contexts.

  • We’re based in the US; and work across Africa, Latin America, and North America — always in partnership with local organizations. We're not building solutions for communities; we're building with them.

  • Not at this stage. Our current focus is building and testing our own pilot ventures. In the future, we hope to expand into shared capital models and collaborative grantmaking.

  • Every venture we launch returns 100% of profits to community efforts. We don’t chase scale for its own sake — we focus on models that are rooted, replicable, and reparative.

  • We’re a collective of strategists, technologists, creatives, and community builders — many with experience in large institutions, but all committed to doing things differently. Say hello on our [team page].

  • You can donate, sponsor a pilot, partner on a community experiment, or help spread the word. Every connection helps build the future we’re trying to imagine.
